Project: Modicon to ControlLogix Conversion

Description of work: The Legacy Platform used to control a large-scale potato factory needed to be replaced. This required a conversion from function block logic to ladder logic. Our employees carefully ensured that the I/O points correlated between processors and that all of the graphic tags remained the same. After a meticulous conversion and numerous hours of QA, the new system was successfully installed.

Project: Pump Back System Integration

Description of work: This pump back system is an EPA and Forest Service mandated effort for prevention of contaminates into the water table and water shed streams. The system we integrated pumps water from the very bottom of the mine site to the very top, where the WWTP plant is located. It is a system of 13 wells and 6 pump stations. This system has a total elevation gain of 1500 feet from pump station 1 to the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The primary use of the pump back system pumps contaminated mine water from the mining operation inside the mountain to the wastewater treatment plant on top of the mountain. This system guarantees compliance with strict government environmental regulations and a clean environment in the Salmon-Challis National Forrest. This system is part of our ongoing effort to provide automation for the only Cobalt Mining Operation in the United States.

Project: PLC 5 Upgrade

Description of work: This system was operating on a PLC 5 that had been in service since 1992. Our staff took out the old PLC and installed a modern Allen Bradley L71 Processor to increase efficiency and sustainability.

Project: Methane Power Generator

Project: 12 Lane Accumulation System

Description of work: This system starts with a barcode scanner. This scanner finds the customer number and product number associated with every box sent through the packaging process. That information sends to the PLC. From there, the control system, with the operator selections, determines which lane to send the boxes down. When a lane is filled with a pallet worth of boxes, it is discharged first the palletizing system. Check out our video below to see this in action!
